Description

I ran a pen&paper for my son daughter and their friends last weekend. I don't know why, I just felt compelled to do it. It seems to have awakened something in me. Something I had put aside to do grown up stuff. Put it aside for too long. I love the way doing it unlocked a part of me that had been buried by bills, mortgage and work issues. I had fun and so did they. The table was full of conversation and laughter. Very cool. Something that computer based gaming has yet to achieve I think. even with online chat vehicles. They disconnect the creative side in favor of the monster of the day. Maybe I'm too old and adult to do this type of thing, but I heard their laughter and saw them working together to overcome things I threw at them. It was fun. Thanks for looking, rap...

fantastic scene, wonderful detail of setting and character - . yes, there is something to be said about sitting around a table, playing a game and having a great time. You are never too old to have fun, to laugh.

Really cool! I was thinking of the 'good ol' days' of pencil and paper recently too. Unfortunately my kids are not interested in RPG's at all, go all day with a shooter though!!
