Description
After 20 years in Fleet, MSgt Dublin Shaughnessy called it quits. The recruiting flyer for Baroon-4 sounded like an easy retirement gig. "Security needed for medical science station, Baroon-4. Temperate climate class-m planet." The Baroon system was well within the Fleet protected zone and how much trouble could a bunch of medical types get into? Sounded perfect. 40 percent forested, 60 percent shallow seas.
Unfortunately, temperate equated to a mean daytime temperature of 39c, forested meant jungle and shallow seas meant a constant 98% humidity. As well, the seas had a food chain where everything was a predator, it was just a matter of size. Not that there were any beaches to enjoy; the land ended in Baroon-4's equivelant of a mangrove swamp.
Still, it wasn't that bad of a duty station...except when something got in...or worse..out, of the bio labs. Then it became just another old fashioned bug hunt.
At first Dublin had been leary of Liselle. No military experience and small framed and slight. But she had proved to be unflappable and she handled the burner like a pro.
So annoyed as she was at the less than stellar protocols of the scientific staff, the two of them would clean up this lab, burn it sterile and be back to the club before the steaks and beer were gone.

Awesome atmosphere and excellent scene. I remember the recruiter telling me all about the great places I was going to see, back in the day.

Great atmo and lighting, and the render is excellent. Love the expressions, too.
