Description

Believe it or not, I saw these roses as you see them. I didn't pose them. They were on some rose saplings in the narrow flowerbed along the fence outside a condo near a supermarket we usually go on Saturdays. I like the contrast between the older generation of pink roses and the new generation of red blossoms, against the background formed by a rolling shutter. News from the heat waves: Charon is almost over and we are waiting for a new one, named either Lucifer or Minos, arriving more or less around July 15th. The latter was a king of Crete, the son of Zeus and Europa, who was made one of the three judges in the underworld after his death. The former doesn't need a presentation... It looks that there is a competition about names: German weathermen named the phenomenon first, but the Italians decided that they didn't agree, and changed the names, so we have Charon, Minos etc. I reckon it's a petty revenge on Frau Merkel.
