Peony Show Keukenhof Castle 2 In June there was a “ Peony-Show ” in the Garden of Keukenhof Castle (opposite to the world famous tulips and spring flower show, which is yearly on the other site of the road and not belonging anymore to Keukenhof Castle since decennia). New to me was that Dutch Peony’s are exported all over the world and that Holland is one of the key producing countries!! It is hard to believe how many varieties exist, we could not resist and we bought a few roots!! This flower exhibition was combined with some sculptures by Karel Appel . Karel Appel was one of the first members of the COBRA –group.
