Good for your second go at it! Here is a hint that I have used in the past (Check my gallery if you like)... when using the photo as reference you can take the ink drop tool section by section and get the color from the actual picture to use on your drawing.. That way the skin tones and other colors will be very realistic. And it's a lot easier than going through and guessing at colors. Though, you have really done great.. just need more tones to bring out more of a 3d quality and not just a flat image.

i like this very nice for doing freehand work. i would only suggest using the path tool.. :)

is this a self portrait? this is a very good start, namely the eyes and nose. the lips are off, and the whole thing lacks overall sharpness. painting in photoshop takes a lot of time and energy, i've been meaning to get back into it myself.
