Description

I found this fellow mole dead around my house; probably a cat brought it there. Dead but without any mark. Cheers!

I found an entire family once, 2 juveniles and a mom, dead in my camp space a few years back. Fascinating little creatures. I didn't see marks either so I was perplexed. I managed to get them home on ice, dissect them (still found nothing unusual) and then taxidermied them in a natural setting. It was a great educational tool since few people get to see these creatures since they are usually night travelers. Fabulous shot showing the feet and face.

These little guys are very intersting...BUT here in New Hampshire, as I am sure in other places, they are horrible for the lawn, making tunnels all over the place, eating the grass roots. But for being blind, remarkable critters!!! We actually had one of the star-nosed kind a year or so back. SO interesting!!!

I have never actually seen a mole in real life! fascinating little creature, I was amazed & a bit taken back to read what PK did to a mole, would never have considered such a thing! lol
