I grew up building model cars, reading HotRod magazines and an even lesser known publication called CarToons. Nowdays, I am inspired by DUB and the latest generations of concept renders. Finding software that has let those memories come back to life has been the greatest gift, second only to my Dad giving me his model car collection back when I was a kid. Thanks for the ultimate inspiration! And of course, I enjoy dabbling with the V4 and A4 models.

The location is stunningly beautiful (I could sense the tranquility and peace of this place even before reading your comments). I'm also really impressed by your sense of composition -- the white and curve of the waterfall is nicely balanced by the dark and opposing curve of the rock in the foreground. Together, they create a nice sense of tension that really makes this photo so successful on many levels. Thanks for posting it.

Thank you for the kind words and explanation of how the shot affects you. Often times I struggle with my composition so, its great to hear I am randomly successful:) Peace my friend/brother!

Oh, this is a beautiful capture of a wonderful place!! I am hoping that sometime when my hubby and I go camping in Ossipee, New Hampshire that we will be able to attend the annual Pow Wow...I have Cherokee blood back many generations, but I have always admired the beauty and grace of THE Native Americans. They live like I wish to live...take only what you need from the land, use all of it and give back what you can. If everyone lived like the Native American Tribes, this world would be in MUCH better shape!!! I bow to those who know who to use, not abuse nature...and to be able to appreciate such beautiful places....I believe the tribe that used to inhabit our area of southern New Hampshire is the Merrimack tribe, hence the name of our town... Please let your fellow Native Americans know that there ARE those of us who truly hold them in reverence in the way they treat nature and their gentle ways....

Thanks Erestorfan:) Great insights but, then again if you carry the blood... I think it's ingrained into the very heart of who we are. I hope you get the chance to experience some of the local activities and that you continue to embrace your cultural heritage. Peace my friend/sister!

Beautiful Scene & Photo Rick. Love to see more when you come back from your trip.

Fingers crossed, Stan. Since the recent diagnosis, I have been volunteered to possibly stay behind to babysit the damn dogs. Then again though, almost a week to myself of bachelor life sounds almost as good. Just think... a weeks worth of unencumbered project completions without the Honey can you do this?, Dad will you help me?

Most refreshing capture Rick...Sounds like something that would be a shame to miss...hope it works out in your favor!...Is this place anywhere near Multnomah Falls by chance?....
Rick68
Razor and Will, Thank You for your continued support:) Sorry Will, Multnomah Falls is just outside of Portland headed East on I-84 going towards the Dalles. South Umpqua Falls is located in the lower part of the state... west of Crater Lake.

Jim, you've got a "Brother's handshake and hug" coming your way! My wife is just getting into photography and I have really never shared much of my pics(besides family) It's so nice to hear positive feedback about the technical aspects as I try to encourage my Wife to follow her desire and hope never to steer her wrong.
