Description
OK Will here is the mowing pattern for a green. This is the 15th hole at Emerald Canyon looking down from the #16 tee box the image from yesterday.
Maybe next week I will be able to start posting images of the work that has been going on the past 10 days. And maybe I will have some time to make a couple of unrelated images time permitting.
Enjoy.

a bit of green in the desert. they look nice but consume so much water

Yeah but many of the desert course's use reclaimed water as does Emerald Canyon. And they don't use as much as you would think, they use hybrid grass's and the desert is actually very fertile, just needs a little water.

Agreed....Most grass used these days are hybrids designed for the area they are used in..Being a green tender back in the 80's I learned a lot about grass...Not the smok'n kind either...just being clear....lol...The ability to create a hybrid that stays green without little if any water gives the ability to grow it in places you'd never guessed it would grow.Case in point here at Emerald Canyon that you've captured here...Some grass is so drought tolerant that it can stay green for months just with as little as an inch of water over that period of time. Thanks once again for the reference photo..Much obliged!....(smiles)..
