Description

Starting at the corner and looking down each wall in turn, it can be seen how radically different they are. Sure it's all Sandstone, but look at the weathering and coloration. The carving of the overhang and it's dune, how it's wavy paleness gently flows along the back wall. In comparison the color and patterns in the wall above the dune and greenery are wildly mesmerizing. Like some modern art or fractal design painted on the wall in it's own natural gallery of Sandstone. Won't be playing any lottery next time when in this area. I'll be hitting the south unit for two adventures. One being to stand in this beauty and I have a burning curiosity about that possible cave earlier in this series. To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2346551.jpg

I love the rippling wavy rock to the north and west of the large patch of greenery. Bet there's more under the sand. It's probably sharp-edged though. This is indeed an amazing place and a fantastic image of it Dana. Thanks for sharing!

if there were no sand fleas, it would be nice to just sit down in the middle and reflect on life
