Description

I thought for this photo I'd post another car I owned which was this "89" Cadillac Allante Hard Top Convertible. This was one of my favorite rides of all time, in fact I drove this car faster than any other car I owned. I actually ran this car one night up to 130 MPH before I let off the gas peddle knees shaking of course and never did that again. When I sold this car is was to buy the "70" Mustang I now own as you all know. The guy I sold the Cadillac to I found out about 2 weeks later totaled the car and was never seen again, Now I wish I would have kept it. At any rate I hope you like it. Today they call it a true classic. Starting tomorrow I've put together a series of 51 cars I'll be posting starting in the year 1932 all the way up to 1985 every day the next year and so on. The cars & trucks that will be posted are in no particular type or order just a ride from that year on, so I hope you like this series. I really like all your comments I'm getting from you all about 5 or 6 viewers as it's been really nice and have had very good comments I might add here, so thank you very much. Stan

ohhhhhhhh wow Stan!!!! great car! I had a friend that had a red one and ohhhhh yessss very fast and cool!!! so sad about the total! If people have never raced they should not think they can sadly... The new series sounds fantastic!!! I'm WAY looking for ward to it... and I do not understand why your great pics do not get more hits!! they are all very professionally done and great subject matter! I think us Car guys are a dying breed sadly! Have a great Day buddy! :o)

Stan, Jim's right on so many points. But, just because you're not getting many hits doesn't mean there's something wrong. On the contrary, your pic's are without rival when it comes to referencing details of a certain model or year. Every shot you post is absolutely clean(without trash lighting and odd angles). Let's face it...What you share is PRIME-100% of the time.

Both Rick and Jim hit the proverbial nail on the head here Stan...I myself would rather have a few comments verses views any day...I like feedback and interaction with other fellow artists whether they create something or capture something if It's something I enjoy then I'll continue to view and comment...I notice when I upload say...something from my Scenery/Landscape folder I get more comments and views verses my transportation images...It's just what certain folks like to see more of is all..Lets just put it this way.... If this was strictly say...An auto enthusiast car club website your images would be dominating as Rick pointed out they are some of the best out there for detail and POV without distractions and can be used as a reference to those of us that create models..But alas....this is a website with a vast variety of different genre that not everyone is focused on one particular type of art so those that do decide to come on board are those that obviously enjoy what you do and look forward to seeing what comes next as I and several others do here....That in itself (for me anyways) is nice knowing that those that catch on and for those in the future that join in are the ones that I would consider the "true" viewers and I'd rather have the few that do then the some that don't...(smiles)... Yes it can be discouraging at times (I get that way knowing that on certain cars I create that the turn out was lack luster and was hoping for more) but like I mentioned ...If this was just a website focused around automobiles you'd be at the top of the list right alongside a few others here that do and create the same..(smiles)... Look'n forward to this new series of yours...(smiles)...

a former client that has several expensive collector cars had an Allante also, but he totaled his on the North Dallas Turnpike several years back. I had my Z3 up to around 123 in W.TX , but I slowed down because of being in tractor country.it still had more pedal left I wanted one of these also, but the money was not there. sharp looking ride
