I was asked to show the specs of my computer(s), here you go...
My main computer is an AMD FX 8120 8 core, overclocked to 4.5Ghz from stock 3.1.Asus M5A97 motherboard, 16Gb DDR3 1600m memory, dual AMD 4670 graphics boards. using Luxrender a simple scene, like a portrait will give good clean images in a few hours, complex and/or high resolution scenes have taken 2 days - rendering using the GPU's helps.
I also have 2 other computers that I can run as render slaves on large scenes, they are both...MSI 870S-C45 mobo, AMD Phenom X4 965BE o/c'd to 4.0Ghz, 8Gb DDR3 1333m Memory and single AMD 4800 graphics, all machines are watercooled (one is also used as my home theatre PC - HTPC).
Enjoy,
Abi.

Beautiful work. The atmosphere is almost tangible.

Beautiful light pouring in through those windows and the shadows look excellent. Really like the sense of scale in this piece with your positioning of the character really giving that sense of abandonment. I disagree with Crunch slightly as I think you can always tell the difference between a Lux render and a 3delight one. Not saying that one is better than the other and both have their merits but I think they produce totally different results. I'm personally a massive Lux fan because of the control Reality 2 gives me over material and lighting and I think the render times are justified because of this.

Wonderful image. Use of detail and lighting and perspective work to make a very stirring scene.
