Description
While not my first render ever, this IS the first render I've not been ashamed of enough to share. Hope I've got all this right!
Very minimal post work, there was some crumpling on the hem of the shirt due to autofit not being perfect.

Nice image :-) We all started more or less with the same and I am still feeling like a starter so the best thing to keep in mind is that fun always precedes above making an image that another one 'admires'. One small tip as feedback; start to experiment with light as well.. sometimes an image changes that much with just one extra (or less) light. Light can compliment the story and sometimes a well placed light source helps telling the image's story... Keep up the good work and I love to see more :)

I have to agree with Arthorius, lighting is so important. I spend a lot of time changing and moving lights until I think it looks right, keep up the good work.

I think what you have done with this image is super and you're definitely on the right path. The pose is lovely and I can see that you have got the attention to detail with the way you've got the hair draped inbetween his fingers. Subtle yet crucial. I think posting on here is the way forward too. I only started rendering recently myself and I think that uploading my images and taking on board the advice of other artists has been crucial in improving my skills. I look forward to seeing more of your work.

Thanks for the comments, guys! ^^ Lights are the one thing I'm still kind of afraid of messing with- silly, right? I've just been playing with some of the preset ones I've got in my runtime, but I'm definitely going to have to start fiddling with them more. Between that and shaders, I've got a lot of things to toy with!
