Not quite the John Deere D that I drove on the farm as a kid: the D, ("Big Mo", we called it) was a huge iron beast with enormous power. This is a John Deere C, maybe?

Well I tried to find it for you.. I could narrow it down to a late 1940's 1950 model.. But thats it.. It's really cute as you say, I think they called it the 'streamlined look'.. Great shot once more.. Rob
