This was one of my first simple models created in Bryce from boolean primitives and rendered as an HDRI scene.

John, The setup for this was pretty simple. It just has the figure centered in the scene and uses image based lighting employing a stock HDRI file. "Horo" has some good tuts on how to do this. http://www.horo.ch/raytracing/sys/index_en.html#DocTop
