Description
trying to integrate a model with an existing photograph in Bryce, and make it photorealistic.
How do I match up the lighting, etc? By eye, or is there a cleverer way?
Any pointers welcome. Thanks!
(The background photo isn't mine, and once again I can't remember where I got it. I'll have to start writing these things down.)

Great model and concept...I think the sun is more directly in front and slightly to the viewer's left...the background photo has very little cast shadows, and what there is appears to be on the viewer's right...nicely done so far!

Just match the model lighting to the background lighting.

I would increase the ambient lighting...you should have more light reflected upward from the ground in a real world scene like this...other than that it is very well done

pics looking good, id have to say be careful of haze etc, be mindful of the distance from the camera, most objects dont generaly pick up much haze until they are quite far away if you add a few details in front and behind the main focus they also give a sense of depth too, id be tempted to add a few figures in front just to show what a monster it is ;-)
