GREETING TO ALL!!!! SORRY IF I SEEM TO BE SHOUTING BUT I REALIZED AT ALMOST 50 YEARS OLD MY HEARING CAN'T HANDLE WHAT IT USED TO!!!! LOL!! Well I thought for those that wished me a good time this past Saturday that I would share with you some pictures that my son had taken during the concert at our local County Fair. I apologize for the grainy pic's as they where not allowing cameras but didn't seem to have a problem with Cell-Phones and well my son doesn't have the greatest of cell phones but it got the job done. So I went through and took the best of the best and created this collage for those that may of liked to see these guys.I can say with confidence and personal opinion that they completely KICKED ASS!!!! They were set up in a Circus type tent/pavilion and we where only 10 people deep from the stage and my son showed he can adapt and appreciate what his dad was into and loved every single minute of it.Did I mention they KICKED ASS!!!.....lol... Afterwards they walked through the crowd as they usually do and when they spotted that I was wearing a T-Shirt from the 1998 tour they all took the time and sighed it..I was soooooo STOKED!!!...The shirt has returned to the hanger it was stored on and will forever be a prized keepsake for me.... Kansas on the other hand was located in the Grandstand Area and well we were stuck waaaaaaaaaaaaay up in the nose bleed seats and with a cell phone those unfortunately did not turnout at all even though they had a Big Screen on both sides of the stage the pictures didn't turn out...(sigh)...But just take my word for those that like Kansas they DID NOT DISAPPOINT!! Both groups had a hour and a half to preform and both went over their time limit without anyone complaining...Actually Foghat waited until the Grandstand cleared to allow more folks to get over to their side of the fairgrounds..And I just want to say if you know who Foghat is just Google their names I listed and see what groups they came from and you'll be screaming as loud as I was when you realize names like Humble Pie/Molly Hatchet/Savoy Brown and Ted Nugents Band rounded up the current line up for Foghat. So here you go for those that appreciate the bands that still have a desire to perform and can still sound as good if not better than they were in there heyday...Speaking for myself I just wanted to say that if you enjoy them go see them and bring earplugs.....rofl!!!! ~Will~ I still can't speak worth a crap today...so I'm glad I can type this even though my hands are stiff and sore from all the horn gestures........lol... a curious night for you and your son! Hard rock groups are very close to the rock spirit, but not for the noise ... as an amateur pianist, I had several opportunities to play my improvisations in public, on stage, in meetings or on the terrace a cafe, but it's never as loud as the sound ... very beautiful collage concert atmosphere!
