Description

this is the main business district of Sapulpa, Oklahoma. each year they have a hot rod show closing the highway for 3-4 blocks. I missed it as it was last month. I went to it once years ago

Great capture, Richard! Makes me want to get back on the road again! I did a series with two characters that traveled from Chicago to Santa Monica awhile back. Just like the guys in the series, I had them drive an older Corvette. I had a lot of fun with that series.

Very, very cool shot. Makes me wonder how many of those little shops are still open for business. All of them, I hope. Our "main street" here is just empty storefronts now. Blows my mind how flat it is there too. All hills here. It's like everything is on a hill. Oh my God. My back yard is too steep to ski. But not too steep to mow. LOL. :)

each time i go out west and am near the old 66, i try to get a few miles in for old times sake...great shot...looks like early morning?? no one seems to be around...
