Description

After mentioning Mt. Theilson in yesterdays image you may have seen this post coming. :~) This old shield volcano has been eroded by at least two ice ages leaving no sign of a summit crater. It's prominent sharp peak is more a horn, elevating 9,184 ft(2,799m) above sea level. The top 10 ft (3m) receives regular lightning strikes hence it's nickname, "Lightning rod of the Cascades". No watermark on this, those that fav it may use it for anything they wish To the kind souls that leave their mark whether a comment, rating, or save the image as a fav, you are very much appreciated, thank you!!! Thank you all that viewed my last image below. thumb_2349225.jpg

This is again a most fantastic nature-photo, Dana. Nothings shows me this could be a volcano. It looks such quit and peacefully. You show us things I've never seen or would ever seen. Wonderful, thank you, my friend!
