Apophysis7v14/PS7 Exactly what my my 21" Samsung LCD Monitor did this morning, Sizzle, Smoke...Done. Thought I was sunk for sure, no bucks stashed away off budget for a new one, then I remembered this old Dell 15incher in my junk pile and by golly it works...mostly. Pretty weird going from 1280x960 back to 1024x768 screen resolution and I can't quite get everything tweaked right of color and like that but at least it should hold till I can get a real monitor again. and here I thought you were going to show us fractal bacon or something like that..... Sorry to hear the monitor fried! if mine went I'd be going from 1920x1080 to 1152x864 crt

Yes, fingers crossed it holds out Len. Hope it's not too long before you get a replacement Using your other one has not affected the quality of your work, we could do with a little of your sizzle! My 17" monitor died a few weeks ago but did not even whimper - it just expired....and I didn't have a spare, but I have now got an AOC 23" and I don't know the screen resolution but it is great - I can see what I am doing:-)

Nice work Lenord! Sorry for your monitor! I think the problem might have been the brand - Samsung - I've had similar issues with a Samsung tv I bought brand new 4 years ago. They repaired the sam issue - bad circuit board - 3 times before begrudgingly replacing the tv. I've since quit buying Samsung.

Sizzle indeed man... don't ya hate when that shit happens? Lucked out finding my monitor next to the dumpster, also a dell... someone had the settings all tweaked to hell and must have thought it was broken. I brought it home and adjusted it and voila... back in business. Great depiction of Sizzle Lenord... always great to see what you've come up with.

Well I for one am not shocked that with what you create on a daily basis that eventually your monitor was going to fry and it lasted as long as it did....You can only shove so much air into a balloon before it pops buddy!......lol... Gotta suck though taking a step backwards from one resolution to the next..I agree with the detail newer monitors give verses the ole TV type ones as I once owned...I'd hate to have to revert back to those dinosaurs...Hope you can rectify your situation when possible and your retrograding is short lived at best!

Oh no, Len...so sorry to hear of your monitor's meltdown, that's awful news. At least you found a temporary back-up~ You work's still fine as ever =) fantastic image and effects! btw~ I had a quick mess with MB3D last night. It's way cool! Thanks for the inspiration!
