Ramon was out as soon as his head hit the pillow. Lisbet laid there for awhile just looking at him. He looked so peaceful and sweet lying there. In that moment, she could well believe he was an angel. However, she still didn't know if she believed all that had happened. Then, there were the things he was telling her! What had she gotten into here? These others made her afraid, yet Ramon and Lex were fine with them - as if they were just like them! Seraphs? If she remembered what little Qabalah she'd studied, they were the Sons of the Goddess, Binah - the punishing arm of God. She fell asleep eventually, pondering all of this and began to dream. She walked through a cloudy landscape, drawn on as if by some inevitable force tugging at her. She was being stubborn and she should just let go, a voice whispered in her ear. When she did - compelled by that voice - she found herself standing before two identical men. One was dark and handsome. The other was scarey looking, locked in some static pose like a wax figure waiting to grab her. Only the handsome one moved and spoke: "Much better, Lisbet. I wanted to have a little talk with you...it seems you believe me to be some sort of monster." He shrugged, half smiling. "If that's what you want, I guess that's what you'll get. This monster here - that's not the real me. He's a made up bogey-man to scare people into being good and submissive. The problem is, I don't scare the ones that really are bad - not until they meet me face to face. He's not me. As for my position in Life, I do my job and I do it well but that isn't all I do. I am the upholder of the Law here. If I say you broke it, you aren't going anywhere but back to try again. Final word. The world is like a prison in that sense, but it can be a beautiful place if you behave and treat others as you would be treated. And don't forget, I gave you a thumbs up! I'd say you owed me, but I'm no liar...in spite of what they say. You earned that all by yourself." He shook his head then, looking a tad disgusted. "They tried to take it away from me you know - my job - and claim it for their own, but I've been doing it a lot longer. They couldn't take it...so they took my wife and all the other goddesses and made them mortal. You ask Ramon to tell you about the goddesses. And when Martyn comes tomorrow with Lex, you ask him about me. I know you respect Martyn and his opinions. He can be an ass on occassion but we love him anyway. Don't forget this little conversation. Now," he waved a finger at her, "you go back to sleep our littlest angel, and tell Ram I said 'hey'. I miss him...like sin," he laughed. "Just kidding. Get to know me before you judge me.
