Description

I thought trying one of the hair tutorials would be fun. This is the hair I came up with. I know that the image looks cartoon-ish, but I think the hair turned out better than I expected. I used an expressionless, morph less model with global illumination -so not the most realistic image. Unfortunately I have yet to learn the trick of the 'realism' trade. There is one thing that does look real, the background image. I made it in Terragen. It's built from a Digital Elevation Model (DEM) of the Ohio River Valley near Cincinnati. Thanks for looking. Comments are always welcome, especially regarding improvements to realism.

I think you did a very good job on the hair. The little stray strands make it look more realistic. Good job!

I agree with kelchris3. I have been trying to do all of the hair tutorials myself, since I just got photoshop, and this is far better than any of my results!

Hair is a good start, you need some highlights shadows in it though.
