Description
I had a new idea for an old scene. In ScetchUp Warehouse I saw the arabic city of alfred23 and had the idea to fit it into my scene. I had to rebuild it to be usable with Cinema4D.
In the former pictures you saw the aircraft flying over the desert. And now they arrived where they wanted to: a city in the desert, somewhere in the desert...

A fine POV and neat work with the tool. Sure wish I could find a way to use Cinema4D. It looks great.

Nice one! I saw the model of the city...very cool, but a monster. I like the way you used it. Nice reappearance of your Antonov.

Very convincing desert scene and excellent model of yours. I'll have to give it a spin :)

Steelrazer, yes the city is a RAM-monster. I cleaned it up from all the parts which are not needed (for example ScetchUp makes a lot of splines, useless in other renderer). I always ran out of memory and asked myself why, because in the Collada format there are so called instances. Then I realized to switch all the instances to render instances (Cinema makes a difference) and to be sure not to consume too much memory I rescaled all the textures to halve the size. And now it works fine. Phew... what a work... :-) After looking a while on the picture I now realised, that there is always water near a city and when there is water there is an oasis and an oasis needs palm trees. OK, I have to make a new version of this picture... :-)

Just magnificent!:-)))Google sketch up models are very interesting but mostly of time very hard or impossible to use them with my poser:-( rebuilding another modelers work is most problematic way than scratch building any model! You made it excellently:-)))))
