Description
This was a marvelous day to visit. It was the start of May, there was snow melt and heavy rain. TYemperature was in the 50s, so there was plenty of mist.
This meant that there were many more waterfalls than normal, as streams overflowed and the water had to go somewhere. The observation platform at Bridal Veil Falls was effectively submerged.
This is shot from a parking area along the Sothside Drive, facing Taft Peak, the view of Horsetail falls is behind me.
We did go back for three sunny days on a later trip, which was a different, but not better, photo opportunity. The second trip was in the fall, but there had been torrential rains two days before, so the main waterfalls had a good flow.
