Description
Captured 7/19/12, early in the morning, not far from where I lay my head at night.
Best viewed via ZOOM.
Cognizant that the sun waits for no one, I got up real early for this one.
Took lots of shots from various angles, which I will be posting anon.
Adios, thankx for clicking on, and for any and all favs and noncritical comments.

The geometry design and angles of this shot are amazing and complex. There are many shades of gray as well. Nice capture.

Well spotted, what a great pattern those railings make going down the steps! Wow! Excellently captured, Harry!

A cool set of rippled shadows Harry. Maybe the start of a new series!

I like all the comments, and I like dana's comment about this being the start of a new series (except, of course, you've been doing these shadow studies for a long time). You use the early light beautifully, it brings out the language of the lines beautifully. Nice how the shadows 'condense' as we move up the stairs: like perspective lines, they seem to converge at a point beyond the shot. The angle of your (I assume) wide angle capture lets the lower fence splay out beyond the frame; and its green is a fine contrast to all the yellows. Also, fine capture of the converging angles, incl lines on the street below. More of your 'finding the shot where you live' photography, being a lesson to we who crave new vistas to get inspired. Ie, the shot is where you stand. Not because you don't travel long distances for shots---you do---but because you never fail to find the shot under your nose. More fine shadow work from you, Harry.
