Vue8Frontier/Photoshop (cue David Attenborough's voice-over) "Spring comes to the northern hemisphere of the planet Boolak,and with it an urgent frenzy of plant growth,for this season lasts but three months in the planet's 32-month year.Like court attendants gathered around their monarch,alien plants throng around an ancient tree,their seed pods sent upwards on spindly stalks in order to disperse their cargo to the coming winds.With the arrival of the first rains,these bizarre plants had sprung to life,flowered and pollinated in a matter of days,the short growing season spurring them on.The ancient tree,however,will only expend the energy to sprout leaves and flowers if the rains persist for at least twelve days...if this doesn't occur it will sit dormant,feeding off it's vast supply of underground tubular storage root system until the following year.These hardy plants have been known to lie dormant for years." Another terrain material exercise that progressed further.Two preset materials were mixed in the Material Editor,with a fractal noise generator used to distribute the materials.The tree is Cornucopia's Old And Odd Fantasy Tree from the Content Starter Bundle 37,the other plants are the Z-Megaspores,also from Cornucopia3D.Since Vue8Frontier has no Ecosystem module,the grass patches were added by hand into the scene.Sky,light,atmo and clouds are all custom.A DOF of 18% was added to slightly blur the foreground plant.Postwork consisted of a minor levels adjustment,signature and re-sizing.Thanks for viewing,and any comments!

Very cool...love the plants and especially that tree. It almost looks upside down...that is...the roots are on top and the tree is in the ground....WOW!!!
