Description
The communities of Fungonia and Gnomeville have decided to work closely together in the fight against the economic crisis.What with downsizing Administrations and even liquidate the useless services.No stupid and senseless cocktail-parties and no more Bunga-Bunga here.there are more serious things at hand.
The “Mechfairy” flies around to tell the good news.
**The city we live in has decided to make a big campaign to make the city more attractive,lots of projects have been developed to attract more tourists.
I was on the point of taking photos of all the dirt and dog-residues laying around,and advise the mayor,that before wasting any money,it would be better to clean up the streets,giving the city that way already a nice and neat touch without investing money .
But then when cleaning there will be no cameras around and my advising might not fall on fertile ground -lol.so i just keep my mouth shut,beeing a stupid “extranjero”anyway.
A nice idea would be a neigbours-cleaning day,a kind of festivity,in the morning the neighbours clean the streets and in the afternoon they eat and drink together (and crap again behind the bushes lol).
Now this is serious:yesterday we walked the street with our dogs and we saw human crap wrapped around a tree,this was soo disgusting our tooth-prothesis almost fell out of our faces,on the way back we took another road,wich was equally full of crap.
when we sit on a terrace,having a coffee, we take a little carpet with us for the dogs to sit on,as the terraces are dirty most of the time.
when the spaniards go for breakfast or lunch,after they leave the place it looks like a warzone,no joke really.

I love the desert. The only dirt here is sand. & people in town get together & clean everything. Including the highways. They have to wear bright orange vests so they can be seen through the glare of the sun, but they do it. ;)

Fun scene and awesome arrangement. Your lighting has been so spectacular as is the case here. Too funny and sickening too on the state of your city. I used to live next to some scumbags who always threw all their garbage in the woods across the street. So, on Earth day, I went over there with a box of garbage bags and cleaned up all their litter. The next week? Town council sent them a letter thanking them for cleaning up the garbage that I cleaned up and they threw there! HAHA. So? It's mostly human pieces of crap where I live.

Here in the states we have what they call "Adopt A Highway Program" and in certain cities....(like my own) they have "neighborhood clean up days"...Gets folks out to meet others who volunteer and helps with socializing...The ones that don't participate are usually the ones that don't give a shit and are kept record of which helps neighbors know who the responsible ones are...Sort of a neighborhood watch.I for one like knowing who my neighbors are especially in today's society....(smiles)...
