Description

Vue8Frontier/Photoshop This was inspired by the movie Promethius, and also by the fantastic imagery of Renderosity artist ATLANTIS...his moody scifi Bryce images with an homage to the Alien movies are truly inspiring! For this image I took two structures from Cornucopia3D(the Library and Dubai Building#3)and re-textured them by mapping a photo texture from CGTextures and combining it with a Vue bump procedural. The library building was replicated twice and grouped together to form a wall. Two procedural terrains create the landscape, with a rocky terrain preset applied. The figures are the MU14 Low Res Maintenance Worker from Daz3D(imported via DazStudio). The sky, light, atmo and clouds are all custom.Rendered with Global Ambiance and volumetric light selected.Postwork consisted of some additional dodging of highlights,a slight levels adjustment, signature and resizing. Thanks for viewing and any comments...hope you like it Erich!

Fantastic sci-fi scene. I like the 'coming storm ' atmosphere.

I think you hit the mark with this one. I trust Erich will like it as it certainly appears to have captured the right mood. The atmo and landscape are great as well.

Great work. It makes me wonder what exactly is just over the hill - what will they look down upon.

I love the dramatic clouds and the strange cold light that does not light up the place.I don't know if this makes sense but my english is rather poor !:)

Well, I'm not familiar with Atlantis's work, but if he's half as impressive as this posting of yours, then I'm definitely going to look his gallery up.
