Hello One and All...
I have to leave for a time to help in anyway I can for those friends family and neighbors that have been effected by this latest devastation due to 2 separate storms...one Tuesday morning(7/24/2012)and Thursday morning(today 7/26/2012)...
We 1st had to deal with no rain for nearly 45 days straight and when we finally did get the rain it came with a price..This really tugs at the heart strings I'm telling ya........
My hometown of(Beloit,Wisconsin)was devastated Tuesday morning as you can see by just some of the pictures I posted above and our turn...(Jefferson,Wisconsin)came this morning around 2am and well ...I haven't had any time to take those pictures yet..I'll be taking a leave of absence until further notice as me and my sons grab our saws and see if we can help in the clean up at all possible. No one at this point has been reported hurt which is the best possible news but my God their is a lot of damage throughout 9 different counties as we were not the only one to take it on the chin so to speak.According to the weather folks it wasn't a Tornado but it might just as well been as you can see we got hammered....Some places reported winds over 80 miles an hour..I have trees down once again but not on my property..Other neighbors weren't so lucky this time...
I'll be back when all settles down ...
~Will~
You might want to zoom as the pictures are much bigger and show better detail...

Sorry to see and read about your storm problems your currently working on, as I know how it feels to go through something like that. Back in 1980 we experienced the very same thing in my neighborhood, trees down, cars crushed windows broken, and roofs tore up all over the place. It took a week just to clear out out block just so a car could drive through. I am happy to read that no one got hurt in that, and I wish you luck in trying to clean up the mess. Take care of yourself Will and come back when it's possible for you to do so. You will be missed here. Stan

yes when there no water the trees do get weak and a strong wind can do damage like this. I seen it around here as the years go by.

Ohhhh nooooo. Such freakish weather everywhere. How sad to see all this damage Will, but I'm glad none were hurt - so far. I always get sad when I see big old trees like this destroyed. Looks like it took down some power lines too or the trees did. You and your sons be careful of those when you're out! So good of you to pitch in and help :)

Steady as she goes, Friend:) May your teeth stay sharp and your rakers keep you true. And when you tip a cold one back at the end of a long hard day please don't forget to salute yourself for such selfless efforts. You've got Oregonian written all over you! It's amazing how the real Americans come together to overcome adversity in a time of need. Don't over do it and can't wait to hear of your good deeds. Catch you on the flip side:)

I feel for you, your son's and neighbors, I am also glad that it seems no one was hurt. Your photos remind of when I was living Florida back when Hurricane Charlie came through, we spent months cleaning up after the storm. I do not envy you at this moment in time at all.

That's so heartbreaking, finally the rain comes, but it does that kind of damage. I'm glad to hear nobody was hurt. I hope the clean up goes quickly and that nobody gets hurt during that, clean up can be very dangerous too. Will, you're a special person to drop everything to go help others, not everyone would do that. Just make sure you take care of yourself, we'll miss you here, but we want you back safe and sound.
MountainHawk
Bad News Will...my thoughts are with you and hope all goes well...done my bit re Cyclone Tracy when it hit Darwin in 74. Nature is pretty powerful....helps us to remember we aren't all we think we are. Nature humbles the hardest.Take care buddy and catch ya when you get back!(thumbs up)

What a mess! We got hammered here too. Power's been out at home since last night. But I have a generator so that made life more normal. Take care of yourself, buddy.

Oh no =( this is just awful news, Will, I am so sorry to hear of it~ Your photos are incredible, but I bet they don't come close to the extent of force which occurred and damage inflicted. I'm glad that nobody was seriously injured in your area~ Please take care, and to your sons as well, while you aid in the clean-up. I'll keep everyone in my thoughts. Keep safe, hurry back.
