Born in Hilo, Hawaii and class of '66, I became very active in Barbells, Judo and love striking the heavy/speed bag. I've learned to Rollerblade and bike ride which is a very health sport. But time doesn't stop for anyone including for me. So my good friend Dave aka punaguy got me started in taking pictures. I'm having fun taking pictures especially hiking the mountains. I'm enjoying seeing the world thru your post on Renderosity. Mahalo and Aloha....Errol

Thanks Errol. It sure was an adventure. Yeah, I made it. Errol, you were a super navigator. Hum, maybe I should have wore some makeup. Looking kind of "white". Aloha

That is hard to do at that altitude! What level did she start at?

An excellent picture Errol and a great video and music to go with it.

@whaleman.... From the parking area, the starting point was at about 13,000 elevation level. The trail to Lake Waiau is about 1 mile and at that high altitude, it is not an easy walk. Aloha

Love the hat and matching outfit~ ;) Congrats on the accomplishment! Last Sept I walked a broad, paved winding path about 1/2 mile long at 6000 ft up to 6600 (?) ft to Clingman's Dome, the highest point in the Great Smoky Mtns. The air seemed thinner even there and the walk was difficult for me as I was/am still recovering from shoulder and back injuries (now much better but still issues). I stopped and rested many times over. Can't imagine your hike and height!

Great pic of Stella, standing and raring to go against that desolate backdrop, but at that altitude, where is her oxygen mask? Aloha.
