last nite i watched the Opening ceremony of the Olympic games 2012 in London,and i must say to me it was very moving,and one of the best choreographies i have seen in ages.
not that superficial glimmery Hollywood style,neither the bombastic chinese opening in 2008,but an opening with substance.
I can say i did not see any BS erxcept i dont like Mr.bean (sorry Rowan lol,but i prefer Benny Hill)anyway-i most liked the way they depicted the history of the Kingdom,including all 4 corners,and at the end to light the flame it was youngsters who did a sign of hope lets go into the future,lets fight and prevail something like that,at least it was the way i felt.
oh yes i did not knew that Queen "Lizzy"was a parachuter lol.Grand Lady indeed a big year for her.60 years on the Throne and the second olympic games opening thats something.
may the olympic spirit live,although i am not as naive as not to know that before end of the next week we will have a couple of cheaters in the news,but hey thats the human race-lol.

Well, these two look like they should be in the weight-lifting event - hardbodies indeed! Super work as always, Rene! I missed the opening - haven't really watched much of the Olympics since that knee-bashing incident with the skaters years ago. I might check out some of the events though. I'm not much of a Mr. Bean fan, either - much prefer Benny Hill & Co...
