Description

Captured 7/28/12, early morning, right outside the walls of my normally congenial condominium complex. A ZOOM is virtually mandatory. These are floribunda roses of the Iceberg variety, very hardy and prolific. They grow in clusters and are most common, are used mainly for landscaping, and are second only to the Agapanthus in prominence in mine and neighboring communities. I've seen them only in white, which can be somewhat boring after a while, and wish they would introduce a multicolored version around here, or at least a solid colored variety. ------------ Iceberg is a floribunda rose cultivar that was bred in Germany in 1958. It is also known by the name 'Korbin.' The cultivar is commercially available in two main forms. These are as tall as a bush and a standard rose produced by grafting. Weeping and climbing forms are also available. The fragrant flowers usually appear throughout the year. Source: Wikipedia free encyclopedia. Cheerio, thankx for stopping by, and for any and all favs and comments.

I love the multi-blooming Roses, and I don't find these lovely whites boring at all. They seem to glow in this wonderful shot.

They seem almost an ivory white, not white white...I love this colour. Wonderful capture with the moody lighting, well done Harry!

A really beautiful array of floral delights! Excellent photo showing their colours and shading perfectly, Well done Harry! Rob P.S. As I'm not interested in the Olympics since it became a sponsor driven P.R. event, and also as no events are within 80 miles of me.. And as tickets are way beyond my pocket anyway, I lose interest in in it.. I did not even turn out for the 28 vehicle convoy bringing the torch when it came through Stamford, as it was just a P.R. run stunt fest! Sorry mate.. You enjoy it, I would only ever bother turning out for Womens Beach Volleyball....And well, why wouldn't you??!! LOL
