Oooh, I like this. I don't know if I actually like steam-punk or not. I think I do, but I sometimes have problems with it as a genre, but as a visual art form, I like it a lot. I love the colors and the shapes and the wonder of the rust! This is brilliant.

Way cool photo! A tribute to the absurdity of the whole steampunk trend; this typifies the non-sensical adornment and waste of materials that go on. An example, people buying high quality machined gears and gluing them onto diving goggles followed by spray paint so they can wear them on their forehead for a short while before it all goes into the garbage. Not to be entirely negative, the creator of this may well have salvaged much of what he used, but that is usually not the case with much of what I have seen and photographed in the way of steampunk.

Seems like a blend of steampunk & Dada. Looks great against that bright background. I actually like steampunk - I find it to be an elegant blend of art & technology, with a dash of whimsy...
