Wow my (as a young girl) best friends parents had one of these, a red one. That car lasted them so long. lol I think they had it straight through our elementary school and junior high school years and its the car they drove here to Maine from New Jersey when they moved up..lol thanks for the memory Richard!

This was the first vehicle I ever owned. A blue one. They had a 289 engine and for such a small car that was tons of power. It's also the vehicle I learned basic mechanics on such as changing plugs, adjusting the carberator and so on. In today's cars they are so complicated I wouldn't even try much more than an oil change on my own.

Gorgeous photo. I had a 61 Falcon and later on a 66 Galaxy 500 and even later on a 71 Maverick. If I remember, the Maverick was the follow on to the Falcon. Thanks for the trip down memory lane.
