Description

"Thanos is a fictional character appearing in comic books and other media published by Marvel Comics. The character first appeared in Iron Man #55 (Feb. 1973) and was created by writer-artist Jim Starlin. The character's name is a derivation of Thanatos, the personification of death and mortality in Greek mythology. Thanos was ranked number 47 on IGN's top 100 comic book villains of all time." And of course he's the villain in the next AVENGERS film. The Cosmic Cube was renamed for the film series "the Tesseract."
