Not only does a dog keep out evil spirits, but they lift your spirit. I read once that "A dog is the only one who will love you more than it loves itself!" The dog came out to see us when the guide stopped under a shade tree to tell us some history about the house. Three of us petted him then he went to the steps because it was cooler there and there was a breeze up the stairs. It was 100 degrees. This was taken at Frank Lloyd Wright's house.
