I love Eastern and Central Europe for precisely what this picture shows. The motto seems to be: "If it works, use it." Who needs pretense when you've got stuff to do...things to carry? At the end of the day, all that matters is whether you did what you had to do. I saw much of the same sort of free-spirited "make-do" attitude in Prague and all over the Czech Republic, and I find it refreshing. It's so human...gloriously efficient, and it cuts to the chase. This is brilliantly seen.
