Tic Toc, the archaic looking clock robot, guided the three captives past many hurdles before he was able to get them to an escape pod from the controller's space vessel. He joined them in the pod and programmed it to land near where they had been abducted. Once they landed and were safely on the ground again, all three boys thanked Tic Toc enthusiastically for saving their lives from the controller. He told them that he was grateful for their appreciation, since he hadn't experienced it in many millenia. In fact, not since the controller had refurbished him after finding him on a dead planet several thousands of earth years ago. Tic Toc told the boys he could never go back to the controller now for he was certain the controller would tear him apart in a fit a rage for helping the boys escape. Tic Toc told the boys he was going to have to erase their memories of the experience for their own good, but that they might have some very strange dreams. During the probing, the probe octopus had placed monitors inside the boys that couldn't be removed but he had deactivated them so the controller couldn't track and find the boys again. Tic Toc said he would keep an eye on the boys as long as he could. He was going to hide out on this planet until he could contact another sentient race. He knew of none in the area currently but was confident one would be along before long. This time, he was going to be very careful who he contacted for he did not want to wind up with another controller! As a final parting, he told the boys that if he ever sensed any of them were in need of his assistance while he was still on this planet, he would come to their aid. Of course he would restore their memories of this incident and provide any assistance he could. They all gave Tic Toc a high five slap on his extended gripper. Then there was a bright flash and Tic Toc and the space pod were gone. The boys stood in a daze for a few moments. Then they looked at each other and asked how they had gotten near farmer Jones back yard! One of the boys looked at his pocket watch and was shocked to find out it was almost sunrise!
