Interesting how they build that roof structure, reminds me of building a boat frame...maybe Noah's Ark was built in the same way? Nice shot. Aloha

Interesting vaulting. Not sure I'd call it a "barrel" vault but it comes close. Sharky hit the nail on the head. The Nave of a church, which this is, got that name because it resembles an inverted boat: navis (Latin). Oh yes, really an excellent shot. BW is nice, but I'd like a color version for comparison. I bet there are some really neat textures at work here. :)
