Description
I was coming home from a board meeting last night
when I passed a local firestation. One of my best friends is a firefighter and I know how often they are not really appreciated. Often people forget they have lives outside of the station. I saw this young man playing and just had to stop and listen. Lucky for me, I had my camera.
His name is Earl and not only can he play, he sure can sing. I stayed to enjoy the music untill a call came in. Off they went to help whom ever needed them. Thank you guys,and girls, for all you do.

This sure ain't one huge racoon! Beautiful photo - the focus in his eyes, yet the relaxation in his face are so well caught here. I assume this was taken before you were "discovered". I totally agree with you re the fire fighters. When I was a child these fellows were the real heros kids could often see and look up to (definitely NOT the make believe super-hero nonsense of todays youth). Watching those fire trucks pass, and the hook and ladder truck was a thrill. And how skilled those fellows were at driving. Big trucks, big guys, big heros. We need that back! :-)
