Description
The last decade has seen a major explosion of dinosaur discoveries in South America. This little sequence shows what the planet looked like from space in the Mid-Cretacious period about 100 million years ago. Argentinosaurus was possibly the largest land animal ever to exist reaching possibly 30-40 meters in length. It was a giant plant-eater, a member of the Sauropod family. Here on the plains of ancient Argentina a family of these creatures is dogged by a small pack of fierce Mapusaurs, who are trying to get at the young Argentinosaur, however his parents are having none of it.
