Description

This illustration was for Danish company FOSS. They manufacture equipment and machines for use in chemical analysis and they wanted some of their modern machines displayed in an old fashioned chemistry lab. The laboratory is all 3D and the machines was delivered as CAD-files so they had to be cleaned up and partly re-modeled. The character is a photo of a professional model (shot with really lousy lighting in a studio) and is comped in using Photoshop.

In my humble opinion, lamps at first render are too white for old lab. They are like new. Also, I would add some dirt to furniture. Glass props are awesome. I love reflections! Good modelling and good job converting CAD to c4d. Nice composition work! 2nd render is 5++. :-)

I agree but when clients commission images for PR they generally don't want dirt or too scuffed materials. Understandable but perhaps a bit unrealistic ;) Glad you liked it!
