Description

Hi dear Friends! We call this spider in Dutch "de tijgerspin". Latin: Argiope bruennichi. This is a female. I shoot about 40 good photo's of it, LOL. It was the same day as I catches the Six-spot Burnet, and not far away from the location of that. Some information from the Internet: The favorite food of the tiger spider is the grasshopper, though she will grab just about everything that is in the strong, sticky threads of its web continues to hang. This allows large and powerful prey, such as bees or dragonflies. The spider then goes quickly into action and start wrapping the prey. Here she uses strikingly spinning thread and soon the prey tightly wrapped in a thick layer of white silk. Now the victim totally forgot, because to work to make the wasp spider bites with poison. Thank you very much for your kind words on my earlier upload. It's very much appreciated! I'm pretty busy, even though it is very hot (35 degrees in the shade) Karel now brings me to Geleen, where I go pick up a second hand bike. It would be a solid and strong bike. The bike I now bicycle almost falls apart. LOL, just like me! Love to you all, and see you later :) Zoom does make it better.
