Description

PC-Girli.gif I thank you for dropping in my gallery and wish you a nice Sunday! ................................................. Over the last weeks and months René and me discovered, that we are moving in a circle, in a road wich consists only in one lane so to speak, I mean the commenting and faving. First I want to say that this community gave and gives us a lot of joy on a daily base, it has become a kind of 'second life', but I found myself thinking in the morning 'now I have to do my comments' and I have to fav X because he/she faved me, etc. Some people apologise when they are a couple days late on commenting, in wich I see no need. Commenting is not a must, so you can never be late, it should be an honor to the 'visited' artist that the 'visiting' artist is taking his time to comment. And a favorite image should be a real 'Wow-Wow', photo, modelling, whatever art, something that lifts you from your seat & not an automatically click on the fav button. I do hope I find the right words, I dont want to offend, I just want to speak out what I feel and I am sure some people think the same but are maybe 'too nice' to speak it out. We all come here to be in contact, even to vent on opinions and beliefs and this is a fine interactive plattform, lets keep it this way. The son of Renés sister told us Facebook and other social networks are the same, I click I like on you, you click I like on me, I congrat you for your bday, but if I forget, you wont congrat me next year, this is a bit 'childish' for us adults I think. Lets do it this way, 'I want to do my comments to see what my friends have achieved' and fav the one or the other work, I mean you cant have 30 favs a day because when you land on 30 you have forgotten +/- 20 of the previous right? Smile! Lets do what pleases us and not feel forced to visit, because that will take the fun out of the whole 'game'. Of course when somebody visits me I do the same, when someone greets me in the street, I respond thats basic education and manners. But everyones time is precious and valuable, lets honor it.

I have to say I pretty much agree with these sentiments. I guess its felt the heaviest when you've had to take a little time off from Rendo and return to a mountain of images that need to be almost work like processed, commented and fav'd. Its good to see your artwork well received in the galleries, but I don't like to think people are only visiting due to obligation. And its quite awkward to see people apologising for being behind in there comment posting. I guess its in the nature of online etiquette plus the favourite artist system of email notifications perpetuates this a little. Really I don't expect to see a fav'd every time someone visits one of my images. I'd feel better seeing them fav'd when they really like it. And in turn I can learn a little from there visit.

Du hast so recht, Ute!

This is a wonderful image Ute, and I always enjoy your art. Like I said to your husband earlier, I haven't uploaded an image in nearly a year and a half and only comment and fave the artist who hold a special place in my heart still

I do agree, Ute. The fact is, I guess I lose track 'cause I don't notice if someone has not commented on an image I upload. I read what is there, I smile & I move on to have fun on the next render. If I miss someone's upload, oh, well. Life happens. I can sometimes find myself hitting the fav button out of habit or friendship. Even unconsciously. But there's no harm in that. Enjoy yourself & be happy, dear! Hugz ")

LOL .. tolles lustiges Bildchen :))

this is a cute scene. like I wrote to Rene: I agree with you on the visiting and commenting. what a nice group of people we have here that we're afraid of hurting each other. I visit most of my friends and comment on most of their images but I don't always favorite them. please don't feel you ever need to view or comment or fave my images.

wonderful composition and characters, excellent background!. I think people should do what they like, at least here in RR. I look at the artists' pictures here to improve my work, my technique. Sometimes it's a pose, a texture, sometimes a POV, a light, or an object that I didn't realize would be available. There is always something to learn from others, and of course there is the PLEASURE, the pleasure of admiring beautiful pictures and reading some wonderful stories. Yet if I wait until the image opens, it costs me nothing to leave a comment. It's a courtesy, a tribute to the artwork and the artist, a tribute to those who have already commented (and comments are an integral part of the image and of this community), an incentive for newcomers, and also provide a score to those who love to be in the charts. About favorites I usually click when it's a WOW! image or writing. I never thought commenting on my pictures was mandatory. I know that many people look at and only one third of them drop a comment, but I also see that some people comments from time to time, but is following the story, that's what counts. Life is hard and time a tyrant, many don't have time to comment. There are a hundred reasons either for commenting or not, let each do what he/she thinks is best, what he/she likes best. For my part I never made the exchange, "I will comment, if you give me comments" as many here know, and I never will.

Your scenes like this always make me smile! I enjoy visiting peoples galleries here, learning from what others have done & what they say in there comments on my work! It would be nice if life allowed more time for me to leave longer comments.

First: I love the image! there's a lot of humor in the scene - just picturing these two operating the helicopter should be scary enough, but to have these two? let me find shelter. I comment and fave your work, Ute, because you do outstanding work and you pay attention to details. You have an ability to display emotions like no other has been able to and it is for those reasons that you are listed as a favorite artist in my book. You and Rene bring joy into my life with your images and writings. I feel that if we were ever to meet in person, I would call you family.

I comment on all of my favorite artists images, I pretty much fav all of their work as well.. it isn't about points, it's about being recognized for the work put into an image and the time they took to complete that work, and sometimes it's just the wow factor or the thought that lies behind the picture... but mostly it's respect and love for a community of friends I have never had outside of here.

Is ja oft so.
