Description

This is your uber classic American Burger Bar. Inexpensive, generous portions, good basic food. The original New York Shake Shack started as a hotdog stand run by Danny Meyer in Madisson Square Park to raise money for an art gallery exhibition. After three years it became a real resteraunt and now has seven locations in New York. This one in west Manhattan is across the street from American Museum of Natural History. Continuing the tradition of social awareness that started the chain, this branch donates 5% of its earning to an early childhood education foundation. Well worth a visit if you are at the museum, but be warned, you can be standing in line easily for 1/2 hour or more. And seating is nearly impossible. Postwork in Photomatrix pro 4.2.1 and Topaz DeNoise.
