She sure likes anything that flies. After her last molt she has become so large that these flies are just a snack now. She devours them in under a minute! Thanks for looking. -Bruce

You say this is a female, and in looking at this image, I'm wondering how someone so voracious can keep such a lovely figure! I guess it's different among insects than among humans. I love the details in this shot and I happen to like these sorts of mantis critters! As I live in Chicago, I don't get to see very many of them. They're here, but I guess they're just not into Chicago that much. Great, unexpected colors! I love the absence of greens as the red and off-white shows something completely familiar in an unexpected context. This is quite super.
