Bacchus. Roman God Of Wine: His festival was celebrated on 16th/17th March and was know as 'Bacchanalia. This was an orgy of sexual and criminal character and got so out of hand the Roman Senate banned the festival in 186 BC. (Compton Acres, Poole, Dorset.) With a little HDR
