What a gorgeous critter! I happen to hang out with a lot of similar six-legged people, but their antennas are more orange and they aren't as hairy. Ah, but apparently they're quite...um...evil-tempered, only I don't really get stung by them. They do, however make shameless attempts to appropriate whatever it is that I'm drinking, if it's sweet and tasty. This is a super shot of one of my favorite sorts of creatures. Wonderful details and colors. It's funny, but I've handled them and I've only been reprimanded once...it wasn't even a sting so much as a...well...a nudge. But enough of that: this is a great image and it's making a trip into my favorites.
