The dog is also a war hero, as witnessed by the Purple Heart and the Bronze Star--but this would never happen. They'd just 'euthanize' him if he were wounded and lost a leg. He'd never even get the chance to come home. He's 'just a dog'. Never mind his human handler and friend. I hope this makes you very uncomfortable. I cried as I was posing this image.
