Description

Firstly, apologies for not commenting on anyone's art work but my poor Mum has been seriously ill and I have not had time to sit on my pc. Thankfully she is now on the mend and has just come out of hospital and back at the care home, Fingers crossed. I went to Les Minquiers yesterday on a fast RIB. It was a bit rough in places so was a bit of an adrenalin rush. I was spoilt and sat up high with skipper. Les Minquiers are a group of Islands (only one has accommodation on it). There are no regular inhabitants but the granite cottages are passed down within families. They are 9 miles south of Jersey, and are administered by the Bailwick of Jersey and form part of the Parish of Grouville. There is a toilet (of sorts) on the Island which is the most southernly toilet in Great Britain! I hope to post some more shots of my trip in the coming weeks. This is a lovely and peaceful scene Susan. That toilet sounds like the one I knew back in the 40's when I was a kid and living in a remote village!
