PK you asked me about if I had got caught in the monsoons this afternoon. well, here you go.Taken this afternoon on my way to Santa Fe, NM.
What an amazing trip so far. I have been on the road since last Sunday photographing my way across the southwest.
Got caught in a hailstorm in the Grand Canyon, Moonsoons on the I-40 corridor, made my way up to Monument Valley and just fell in love with Santa Fe and decided to stay an extra night

How stellar! I have a few shots of the monsoons out that way and I've always felt it was such a unique sight. I've found dry washes afterward that had become raging rivers complete with unfortunate wildlife who were not fast enough to outrun the flash flood waters. This part of the southwest is indeed a wilder and more harsh America with a raw beauty. So glad you are loving your trip. Sure wish I could have gone with you.
